I offer singing lessons in Southampton to students of all ages and abilities. I have a dedicated music room with piano, acoustic guitar, keyboard and Apple Mac so can cater for most musical tastes and genres.

I teach lessons from my home address in Southampton and do not travel to teach students. I can be found just off Above Bar in Southampton City Centre. I have recently moved to the area from Fareham, after 3 years giving singing lessons there.

Everyone’s needs are different and whatever your reason for wanting to sing I will work with you to reach your goal.

I had singing lessons from a young age with a variety of singing teachers at school, drama club, band practice and private singing lessons.  Some of them were formal, singing exam based lessons and others were more relaxed. I have always enjoyed music but I know that singing specific songs to meet a syllabus requires a lot of motivation and that it can be difficult for younger singers to remain focused.

As a singing teacher I believe the key to succeeding with younger singers is not to sing songs that don’t interest them and instead let them sing the songs that enthuse them.  My view is that if they learn to sing these well with a good, safe technique they will strive to improve and learn the proper singing techniques. These skills will develop with regular singing lessons into a healthy basis for their adult voices.

I have a very busy calendar and cannot always fit 1 hour lessons in to my schedule.

I also offer a limited number of free trial singing lessons each month.
